SMT achieves full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value. SMT hires local professionals wherever possible to provide the company with local area knowledge and to deepen its ties with local communities. Each SMT office throughout the world is managed by a local resident rather than an expatriate.
SMT's commitment to sustainable economic growth extends beyond the SMT community and into the localities in which we operate. Our priority is always to partner with local service providers and purchase from local suppliers to stimulate economic growth and promote ethical business standards throughout the world.
