Reduction of single-use plastics
A key sustainability initiative at SMT Shipping is the reduction of single-use plastics throughout our fleet. Thanks to the installation of reverse osmosis water purification systems, seafarers will have filtered water for drinking without the need for plastic water bottles. There have been a total of 15 installations throughout the fleet so far, with the goal of having the systems available on every vessel in the fleet.
