Above list will be valid until Mar 14th.
Suspended crew changes In UK, Ireland, Brazil, South America and Africa
Following information in the previous Fleet Notice, crew changes in following countries are suspended until Mar 31st :
- UK and Ireland (continuation of previously announced restrictions)
- South America, excluding Central America an Caribbean Islands
- Africa (excluding crew changes on Transshipment Stations in Ghana and Guinea)
Considering above restrictions the contracts of Seafarers on board of certain vessels may be shortened or extended to allow repatriation from the other countries according to the vessel’s ports schedule.
We will arrange the crew changes in the other countries wherever and whenever it is possible, as long as it is permitted by local authorities.
Hybrid work of SMT Poland office staff
SMT Office in Poland is open, however the office staff work in hybrid system (partly in the office and partly at home). Please contact concerned persons in advance, in case you need to arrange something from the office.
Chaos in international travels
Nothing changed comparing with previous two fleet notices. Travel arrangements remain extremely difficult.
Important! Vaccinations
First SMT seafarers have been already vaccinated. Unfortunately their certificates are in native language only. Once being vaccinated, please ask for English version and if it is not possible, please arrange translation into English asap. The cost of the translation will be reimbursed by Master (according to submitted invoice) on board after sign-on. Possessing English copy of vaccination certificate will make the travel to/from the vessel much less complicated.
